The body is like a machine, only smarter. There are signs that should never be ignored, like sleep, hunger, pain etc. But do we not ignore some of these signs?
I am in no way assuming the role of a doctor here, but the innate intelligence that has been given to all of us tell me that stress shows up through a number of signs, and when you are in business, believe me you are not immune, but in fact you are right in the firing line.
Lack of concentration when doing a project, anxiety about getting it right, sleepless nights due to pre-occupation with a particular task, are all signs that should not be ignored.
My humble solution-prioritize, delegate take a short break (depending on the schedule you are working with) and evaluate.
For small business owners, well the solution is quite simple; get a virtual assistant. Or maybe its not exactly “quite simple”, because the tasks you are left with can bring about some level of stress. But let a virtual assistant become part of your solution, the delegating part.
Remember, signs are there to alert us to what can happen next, so please, pay attention.
